May 31, 2011

Yesterday was my 6 month ampuversary. I am doing well, being frisky, begging for S N A C K (of course!). I wasn’t doing well for a few weeks starting the beginning of May…I had weakness in my rear legs and had a slight limp (hard to detect for my pawrents when I already walk funny!). Dad kept checking, poking, prodding, squeezing rubbing, massaging, but I was in no pain. Well, that has passed and I am hopping around and getting up on my rear legs again for snatching S N A C K out of the air when it’s thrown to me. Not really sure what was going on, but all seems fine now.

In 10 days my pawrents are participating in the local Relay for Life event and dad has signed me up as a Survivor! I am getting my own t-shirt and we are walking the Survivor lap together to be inspiring. And I think there’s S N A C K after that!!!!!!

Woo Woo! Tundra

  2. Oh Tundra ~ 6 months is wonderful news! May you have many, many more! Indy is 16 1/2!! We have seen so many of our wonderful tripawds beating the odds for quite a while!!

To Tundra’s mom: At 5 months, Indy, our siberian husky started to sit down on his walks and didn’t want to go as far and one day just stopped…We were so worried & I noticed his back right leg not quite working right. He was surely limping…We had an ex-ray and found out he had torn a ligament in his knee . After 4 months of no walks, taking it easy and 1/2 rimidyl every day , his knee formed scar tissue & strengthened again. We started walking again but blocks vs miles..The reason I told you this is just in case you notice this again – please have it checked out! I just want to be sure that Tundra lives life to his fullest ..and have plenty of s n a ck s!!!!
Once again – congrats on 6 months!!! Hugs to you!! xoxo
